UN Refugee Agency comes to aid of families fleeing conflict in North Cotabato

UNHCR gave plastic sheets to reinforce temporary shelters, blankets, sleeping mats, solar lamps, and mosquito nets benefiting 22 displaced families
The Philippines Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR Philippines) distributed Core Relief Items (CRIs) to internally displaced families who were forced to flee due to recent conflict in Pikit, North Cotabato.
With assistance from CFSI - Community and Family Services International and in coordination with the Local Government Unit, UNHCR gave plastic sheets to reinforce temporary shelters, blankets, sleeping mats, solar lamps, and mosquito nets benefiting 22 displaced families, most of whom have elderly members.
Amid the #coronavirus pandemic, UNHCR is working closely with the local government and humanitarian partners to ensure that protection remains at the center of all humanitarian responses.
