Our Work on the Sustainable Development Goals in Philippines
How the UN is supporting The Sustainable Development Goals in Philippines
The United Nations is a firm partner of the Philippines in achieving national development goals and the 2030 Agenda, including the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Guided by the Philippines 2024-2028 United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (CF), which serves as a blueprint for action from 2024 to 2028, the UN Country Team will continue to support the Philippines on its sustainable development path and accelerate local progress towards achieving the SDGs in the country.
Co-created with the Philippine Government, the CF focuses on three interconnected areas:
Human capital development, encompassing health, education, food security, social protection, habitat, governance and peace.
Economic dimensions of sustainable development, including innovation, sustainable, inclusive and green economy, and decent work.
Climate, environment, biodiversity and disaster resilience.
The CF is fully aligned with the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) and focuses on areas where the UN can best mobilize its resources, expertise and convening power for policy and capacity development, knowledge generation, and partnership-building.
The CF reflects the United Nations’ solidarity and commitment to the SDGs and the vision of a future where no one is left behind.
