UN Philippines chief reports on progress in human-rights based approach to drug control

On 15 July 2022, UN Resident Coordinator in the Philippines Gustavo Gonzalez met with Mr. Mark Colhoun, Secretary of the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB), on progress made by UN Joint Programme on Human Rights (UN JPHR)

Mr. Gonzalez expressed appreciation of INCB's positive response and readiness to support the UN JPHR, and for acknowledging  it as “an important step towards strengthening accountability and ending human rights violations, including in the name of drug control.” 

INCB is an independent treaty body closely following the Philippines agenda.
