UNFPA comes to aid of new mothers and pregnant women in earthquake-hit Masbate

UNFPA, in cooperation with the Embassy of Australia in the Philippines, provided an Emergency Tent Facility, Dignity Kits, and maternity packs, to support the essential needs of some 200 young women and pregnant and lactating mothers who were affected by the recent earthquake in Masbate. 

New mother Vina Cominghod of Cataingan, Masbate, received the Dignity Kit and maternity pack. 

"Thank you, UNFPA and Australia, for sending these (Dignity Kit and maternity pack) for me and my newborn baby," she said.
