UN support to Philippine Government efforts for SDG acceleration -- September 2023

In the lead up to the SDG Summit in New York on 18-19 September 2023, the UN Secretary-General has urged world leaders to help deliver a ‘Rescue Plan for People and Planet’ at the Summit announcing national and global commitments that will help drive SDG transformation for inclusion and sustainability. This document presents a brief summary of ongoing and planned interventions in the forthcoming Philippines 2024-2028 United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework supporting various Philippine Government initiatives that may be considered as Transformative Actions to accelerate SDG progress in the country. UN contributions are presented in line with the crucial dimensions for SDG acceleration being applied for the SDG Summit (see figure on right).
